The objective of this Open Access journal is to monitor the rapidly changing interdisciplinary fields of criminology and sociology. It is a forum for the publication and discussion of theory, research, policy, and practice in the related aspects of this discipline..The journal's Editor in Cheif is Prof. Mitchel P. Roth  of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, USA.

The journal is a valuable OPEN ACESS resource for intellectuals dealing with the various aspects related to crime, whether its criminology, sociology, anthropology, psychology, law, economics, politics or social work. It is also of great value to professionals concerned with crime, law, criminal justice, politics, and penology.

It publishes work of the highest quality from around the world and going through all areas of criminology and sociology. Topics covered in the journal include major theoretical and methodological developments as well as current research in the major subfields of criminology and sociology.

The Journal also welcomes submissions from a variety of perspectives focusing on crime and society; and especially articles written from sociological, historical, philosophical, geographical, psychological, jurisprudential, cultural, political, or policy standpoints.
