Dr. V. Vijayan is currently a Professor at K. Ramakrishnan College of Technology, Trichy, Tamilnadu, India, and also a Ph.D. Supervisor of Anna University – Chennai. He graduated with (B.E) from Madurai Kamaraj University in 2004 and (M.E) in 2006 from Kongu Engineering College – Erode. In 2015, he completed his Ph.D. at Anna University - Chennai. His research interests include 3D Printing, Additive Manufacturing, Compliant Mechanisms, and Topology Optimization. In recent years, he has presided over several scientific research projects, published more than 140 papers, and obtained more than 08 patents.

Francisco J. G. Silva, an Associate Professor with Habilitation at ISEP - School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, Portugal, obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto. He has been actively involved in higher education since 1995 and currently serves as the Director of the Master's Degree Program in Mechanical Engineering at ISEP in Porto, Portugal.

With a strong focus on scientific research, Francisco J. G. Silva has published over 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests encompass a wide range of areas, including Wear, Coatings, Materials, Manufacturing Processes, Production, Lean, Cleaner Production, and Sustainability.

In addition to his research contributions, Francisco J. G. Silva has also made valuable contributions to the academic community. He has acted as a Guest Editor for various journals and has served as a Reviewer for many esteemed scientific publications.

Jinyang Xu


Farrukh Imran Dr. Jinyang Xu, FIAAM, MSCS, is an Associate Professor and a Doctoral Supervisor of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He was ranked as the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for four consecutive years (2021-2024). He received his M.Sc. (2013) in Mechanical Manufacturing & Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and obtained his Ph.D. (2016) in Mechanical Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech, France. His research interests focus on composites machining, numerical modeling, micro/nano cutting, and surface texturing. He has published over 60 articles in highly-ranked JCR-referenced journals as a first/corresponding author, co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed papers, and edited 3 monographs, 5 book chapters, 10 int. conf. proceedings & 11 special issues, being cited over 4000 times with an h-index of 36 according to Google Scholar Citations. He has delivered more than 20 Keynote Lectures at various international conferences and has applied over 40 national patents. He is the Founding Editor of the International Journal of Product Sound Quality (IJPSQ) and holds the Editor-in-Chief positions of Journal of Coating Science and Technology (JCST), and International Journal of Precision Technology (IJPTech). He serves as an Associate Editor for esteemed journals such as Proc. IMechE Part E – J. Process. Mech. Eng. (SCIE/EI), Simulation - Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCIE/EI), and Frontiers in Materials (SCIE/EI). Moreover, he is on the Editorial Board of several SCI journals, including Green Materials, Journal of Superhard Materials, Coatings, Lubricants, etc. He holds over 800 peer reviews and over 100 editor records for various international journals including IJMTM, JMPT, IJAMT, IJMS, COST, WEAR, etc., verified by the Web of Science (WOS) (https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/rid/G-8731-2011). He is the General Chair of the 2nd and 3rd International Conference on New Materials, Machinery and Vehicle Engineering (NMMVE2023/2024). He has been invited as Keynote/Invited Speakers, Section Chairs, and TPC members for a number of international conference series (e.g., APMAS, DSMIE, ICMEM, ICMTM, ICMSOA, ICEM, ICMD, ICMAT, NMMVE, etc.) with themes in materials science and manufacturing processes. He has presided and participated in more than 20 national and provincial projects including the NSFC grants, National Science and Technology Major Project, National Key Research and Development Program, and Intergovernmental Scientific and Technological Cooperation Project, as well as a number of industrial projects. For his notable research in the field of Materials Processing & Manufacturing, he was honored with the prestigious IAAM Scientist Medal of the year 2020, and received the Best Paper Awards at the NMMVE2024 (July 19-21, 2024, Dalian, China), CMAMT2023 (August 2-4, 2023, Shenyang, China), the NMMVE2023 (June 2-4, 2023, Guiyang, China), the NMMVE2022 (March 18-20, 2022, Guilin, China), the CJUMP2017 (November 19-21, 2017, Shanghai, China) and the ISGMA2015 (June 23-27, 2015, Qingdao, China) conferences.
