Linda Hume - Profile

Linda_Hume-Profile.jpgLinda Hume is a Registered Nurse-Learning Disability and is an Independent academic and consultant. This also involves a post with the Challenging Behaviour Foundation as a Coproduction and Engagement Lead, Lead for Research and Practice Leadership at the IABA Research and Education Foundation, and a lecturer at several universities across the UK.

Linda has worked in a range of leadership roles in Health, Social Care, and Academia.

Her teaching, research, and consultancy focus on working with families and supporting organizations to understand and implement evidence-based, person-centered approaches for people with intellectual disability.

Linda’s research interests include:
The implementation of person-centered support for people with an intellectual disability.
The implementation of Multi-Element Behaviour Supports.
Organizational approaches that lead to improvements in Quality of Life.
Practices that enhance the role of practice Leadership and Coproduction with families..
