Abstract: This cross-sectional study conducted to develop a model for predicting academic achievement of university students by investigating the relationship between teaching skills, academic emotions (positive and negative), and academic stress associated with Mindset (growth and fixed) using structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of 360 students of the Islamic Azad University of Hamedan who were selected randomly using a relative stratified method. The study was descriptive and correlational. The data were analyzed by SPSS version 25 and SmartPLS version 3.2.8. First, the validity of the model was estimated using Cronbach's alpha, composite reliability, convergent validity, and divergent validity; then, the coefficient of determination, effect size, and Stone-Geisser criterion were calculated for evaluating the structural model. The results showed that the validity and adequacy of the suggested model were suitable. Thus, it could be used in different situations by experts in related areas. The relationship between growth Mindset and academic achievement was significant; growth Mindset moderated the effect of negative emotion and stress on academic achievement the crucial role of professor skills in the academic achievement of students was confirmed directly or through its effect on positive emotion. The effect of teaching skills was not significant on the academic achievement of students with fixed Mindset, while the effect of academic stress confirmed on these students. Therefore, the identification of students with fixed Mindset and psychological interventions for these students can be useful in their academic achievement and their mental health.

Abstract: The relevance of the study is in the fact that disorders of vascular and psychoneuroendocrine genesis often accompany surgical diseases, the issue of ensuring patient safety in the perioperative period remains the basic focus of modern clinical surgery. The purpose of the study is to identify changes in the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the functional state of the endothelium, and also to establish whether the transferred simultaneous surgical interventions intensified pro-inflammatory cytokines and changes in the functional state of the endothelium. In this article, changes in the level of proinflammatory cytokines and the functional state of the endothelium are studied, as well as the relationship of these changes with comorbid psychoemotional disorders when performing simultaneous surgical interventions by laparoscopic and open methods in combined diseases of organs of the abdominal and anterior abdominal wall. The authors carried out a prospective, randomized controlled study of 586 patients aged 18 to 72 years who underwent planned simultaneous surgical intervention (SSI) with combined diseases of the abdominal cavity, pelvis and anterior abdominal wall. In the course of the comparative analysis, a general trend was established: the simultaneous surgical interventions caused intensification of proinflammatory cytokines and changes in the functional state of the endothelium.

Abstract: Purpose: to define the dynamics of physical development indicators among medical college students in 2017 and to compare it with the results of the previous study of 2005.

Method: The inclusion criteria were: no health complaints at the time of the examination, no chronic diseases in family medical history, no deviations from the norm in clinical and laboratory tests. The selected young men were examined by medical specialists (neuropathologist, ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, therapist, surgeon); detailed clinical, laboratory and diagnostic tests were conducted: X-ray; spirography; electrocardiography; dental examination; ultrasound examination (cardiovascular, thyroid, abdominal, urological); biochemical blood testing. The participants were subdivided into two groups: Group 1 (students (n=140) who studied at Zhytomyr Medical College in 2004-2005) and Group 2 (students (n=150) who studied at Zhytomyr Medical Institute in 2016-2017).

Results: According to the results of studying the dynamics of anthropometric, functional and psychophysiological indicators of physical development among Ukrainian medical college students (n=290; 17-21 years old) in 2017, comparing them with the results of the previous study, conducted in 2005, the tendency to gain in body mass in average values from (0.88 ± 0.26) to (2.7 ± 0.67), in body mass index from (0.88 ± 0.26) to (1.38 ± 0.38), in the fat component from (8.70 ± 0.22) to (9.36 ± 0.21) was established.

Conclusions: An increase in body mass index, the fat component in medical college students was revealed, which is related to problems in the quality of the students' diet. Though the muscle mass has increased, and the study indicates that there is insufficient physical activity; sustainability and concentration of attention indicators tend to decrease under the influence of intensification of the educational process. The dynamics of the indicators under analysis indicates the stabilization of the growth process in Ukrainian male students.

Abstract: Background and Objective: Despite inclusive measles and rubella vaccination programs, the epidemics are still present in some areas. The present study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of these two vaccines simultaneously by testing the levels of IgG antibodies in children aged 12 months to 15 years old in Southern Iran.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional study on serum blood samples of 400 children aged 12 months to 15 years old in Ahvaz, Southern Iran in 2018. The children were divided into the following age groups: age group of 12 months to 17 months and 29 days who received a single dose of Measles, Rubella, Mumps (MMR) vaccine; age group of 18 months to 10 years old who received two doses of MMR vaccine at the ages of 12 months and 18 months; and age group of 11 to 15 years old who received two doses of MMR vaccine at the age of 12 months and 4-6 years old. In the assessments, the protective levels were defined as per the guidelines of the ELISA kit (VIRCELL Co., Spain) as follows: The serum IgG antibody levels above 11 IU/ml were defined as positive protective level, 9 to 11 IU/ml as an equivalent state, and the serum antibody level below 9 IU/ml as a negative state. Accordingly, the equivalent and negative cases were reported as negative and cases above 11 IU/ml were positive.

Results: The male to female ratio was 1.02. Most of the patients (69%) were in the age group 18 months to 10 years old. In all age groups, the number of people with a high serum anti-rubella and anti-measles IgG antibody level was higher than the protective level. There was no significant difference between the mean serum anti-rubella and anti-measles IgG antibody level between the age groups (P= 0.515, P= 0.176, respectively). For rubella, 86.66% of females and 83.16% of males, and for measles, 86.36% of females and 83.66% of males were seropositive, and there was no significant difference by two sexes (P= 0.486 and P= 0.412, respectively).

Conclusions: The frequency of seropositive anti-measles and anti-rubella vaccine was not significantly different between the subjects with a single dose and those with two doses of MMR vaccine. Further studies are needed to evaluate the adequacy of the MMR vaccine for Iranian children. Moreover, due to the lower average serum IgG antibody level measles and rubella in males, further investigation is needed to find out the causal relationship between the lack of appropriate response to vaccine injection and male gender.
