Abstract: Societies are sustainable if they consist of a mixture of users with various interests, needs, and abilities. Sustainable societies are defined as structures that include different elements in a balance to remain healthy over the long term. One of the key elements of a sustainable society is gender equality. It can be maintained through various factors where architectural design and the built environment can become effective instruments. Although the role of architecture in gender issues is sometimes ignored, its reflection can be seen in the built environment in many different instances. Therefore, architecture has the responsibility to remark gender issues in the built environment to aid in meeting the needs of a sustainable society. This paper presents a study that examines the importance and the role of architectural design in a sustainable society through gender equality in the built environment. The hypothesis of the paper states that the built environment is perceived differently by women and men, and it needs to be designed accordingly. The methodology consists of a literature review on the relationship of gender and architecture, and a quantitative analysis of a questionnaire conducted in Istanbul, Turkey among women and men. Outcomes of the study reveal that gender equality in the built environment and gender equality in the society have a mutual relationship, so that architecture needs to consider them as primary input data in design.

Abstract: Indonesia is a rule of law, which means that there is a guarantee for the functioning of an independent or independent prosecutor in carrying out the judiciary and other tasks and for upholding law and justice based on the state constitution and the prevailing laws and regulations. The Attorney General's Office (AGO) is a state institution in Indonesian constitutional law that can carry out or have authority on behalf of the state in prosecution and also has other powers based on applicable provisions. The problem of this research is that the discretionary power of prosecution is too loose a tendency to abuse power to commit a criminal act. terrorized corruption culture This research is qualitative and normative juridical. The discretion that is too free for prosecutors tends to abuse power to carry out a culture of corruption in the Prosecutor's Office (PO). Researchers suggest that discretionary power in state institutions is limited and supervised by external agencies on the performance of prosecutors so that checks and balances occur in state prosecutors' institutions.

Abstract: The main focus of this study was to look at the influence of the authentic leadership of the principals and the self-efficacy level of teachers in Pendang district, Kedah. The quantitative survey method using the questionnaire was adopted in this study. The study respondents consisted of 254 teachers randomly selected from 10 national secondary schools in Penang district, Kedah. The benchmark used for authentic leadership is to use the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ -Version 1) of the original instrument developed by Avolio, Gardner, and Walumbwa (2007). Similarly, the teacher self-efficacy questionnaire was used in Hoy and Woolfolk's (1993) short form of the Teacher Efficacy Scale developed by Moran, Hoy, and Hoy (1998). The findings show that there is a significant relationship between the dimensions of authentic leadership and the self-efficacy of teachers in Pendang, Kedah. However, there is only one dimension that influences the teacher's self-efficacy, which is the dimension of self-awareness. Based on the findings of this study, it is hoped that it will contribute useful information to help educators in cultivating the principals' leadership style and high levels of teacher self-efficacy to produce symmetrical human capital.

Abstract: This research aimed to examine the factors contributing to the less optimum management of the Aceh special autonomy funds for the development and welfare of the Acehnese people. Specifically, Aceh received the special autonomy funds of IDR 56.67 trillion from 2008 to 2018, yet the vast funds have not been successful in change the face of Aceh in terms of poverty, unemployment, and other social diseases. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research design and data collection involved interviews, observation, and document study. The informants were selected by purposive and snowball sampling. The results of the study showed that three factors contributed to the less optimum management of the Aceh special autonomy funds. First, the regulation of the Aceh special autonomy funds management has not been standardized and frequently changed, and thus it cannot be used as a complete guideline. Second, the management authority of the special autonomy funds was unclear between the provincial and the district/city government, resulting in no good coordination between the parties. Third, the poor management of the Aceh special autonomy funds led to the poorly targeted development and community empowerment. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that these three factors hindered the Aceh special autonomy funds from fulfilling the goals of realizing the development and welfare for the Acehnese people.
